Its mostly fun and games at first for people addicted to marijuana. Everyone knows it’s illegal to smoke it, or even have it, but with all the movies, songs and jokes about it, marijuana seems like something harmless and familiar. What users soon find out (especially those who start at a much younger age) is that it’s something that can kill you one joint at a time. What are the reasons people get into it?
One, peer pressure is a major factor. People addicted to marijuana don’t want to feel out of place or get laughed at for being a “prude”. If you’re ever in a situation like this, tell them you’re cool being yourself without any help from anything. Its cliché but you can show your friends you want to feel happy or excited without drugs because you don’t want the negative downers that come with weed later on.
Other people may also want to tell you that it can help you deal better with your feelings but it doesn’t really happen that way. Ask any user to go without marijuana even for a week and soon they’ll be showing you someone who’s been taken over by a stranger. You don’t want people seeing you in the same way. Deal with people who are addicted to marijuana with one simple rule – say no and walk away.
